Many travellers have heard of Priority Pass, and the fantastic benefits it offers in terms of airport lounge access, however, less have heard of Lounge Club, a slightly scaled down pass to global lounges. Is Lounge Club worth getting? Absolutely.
Access to Lounge Club comes free with certain credit card rewards programs. This means that the pass is a great way to get admission to airport lounges, especially if you only need occasional access and don’t want to fork out for the Priority Pass membership fee. By signing up for a credit card that comes with complimentary Lounge Club access, you’ll avoid the membership fee and receive several free lounge passes per year.
What lounges can you access?
Membership to Lounge Club allows you access to around 350 of the Priority Pass lounges. While that’s clearly less than Priority Pass, which offers access to around 700 lounges, 350 is still a decent number of lounges.
What credit cards offer Lounge Club?
There are a number of different credit cards that offer access to Lounge Club. In the US, the American Express Platinum Card and the American Express Mercedes-Benz Platinum Card offer access. In the UK, the American Express Gold Preferred Rewards card comes with complimentary membership.
Given that airport terminals are often noisy, crowded and chaotic, lounge pass access is extremely beneficial to have. If you can get access free with your credit card, even better.
